I realize high school graduation is approaching, and such things are inevitably noisy. There has been a lot of screaming in the afternoons and evenings (when classes end, and after games or performances.) I don't like it...but it's only screaming. Nothing is wrong. And it's daytime. I don't want to be the kind of curmudgeon who yells at kids to get offa my lawn. It's even worse because I don't have a lawn--it's all sidewalks. I've mostly learned to deal with the screaming.

But the firecrackers going off at 1:10 in the morning, those were a problem. I was sound asleep, and I had the windows open. Why the [obscenity] to so many people need to celebrate with fireworks? I know it's better than firing guns in the air, but there are so many better ways to celebrate the end of school, or Independence Day, or summer, or whatever a person wants to celebrate. Why don't they just go skinny dipping or something?
