brownies without eggs?

I'm looking for a good brownie recipe that does not use any eggs. Good cookies of the oatmeal-raisin or chocolate-chip family would also be very welcome. I know there are a lot of vegan egg substitutes on the market, but some of them are disappointing -- starchy or gummy textures, cakes that don't rise, cookies that fall apart. If one of you has already found a variation that works well, I'd like to take advantage of your experience.

It would be convenient if the recipes were vegan, but dairy is ok. I'm making these for a child with an egg allergy, who has no problems drinking milk. I believe this child would eat Play-Doh, if you put jimmies on it...but I am looking for good recipes, nevertheless.
