This Saturday, I will be taking an important exam. I don't know where the exam will be, beyond "Boston area." (There is a 30% chance of snow that morning, though we could get freezing rain instead.) The sponsoring organization has events in Billerica, Lexington, Danvers, Waltham, Foxboro. They aren't concerned with public transit. They were supposed to send out notices with the specific time and place 1-2 weeks before the exam. People who drive easily, and know their way around the whole Boston area, may not need more than a day of advance notice...but it matters to me.
The other nervewracking thing is that I don't feel that I know the material nearly well enough. It's very difficult to cope with.
ETA: In something I can only call "progress," they went from not telling me any exam locations, to telling me two. At 1:50, the response to Saturday's email query pointed me to an exam being given in Lexington. At 2, a standard form letter pointed me to an exam being given in Burlington. I don't know if I get to chose, or what. I tried phoning, and am waiting for a callback. At least it's not Foxboro.
