During a long power failure this past weekend, I managed to spill an absurd quantity of melted wax on my kitchen table. Unfortunately, it's blue wax, on a wooden table without any kind of impervious plastic coating. Any suggestions for removing it with minimal damage to the table, which I'm rather fond of? Firm pressure with nylon scrubbie sponges will scratch this table, btw. I've managed to remove to top layers of wax, but even a thin coating looks pretty awful (because of the color), and is a problem when I want to use the table for reading and writing.
