Are any of you being harrassed by "Satellite TV" or "Direct TV" phone advertising? They have an automated system that calls every day to leave long messages on my voice mail, urging me to sign up with one service or the other (or are they two names for the same thing? I don't care. They both involve moving pictures. I hate them. Hate them. HATE THEM!!!! Er, excuse me.) It's all so efficiently automated that there's no way to interrupt and tell a human being to please add my name to their "Do Not Solicit List." There's no human being involved in the phone call at all - I just come home to a string of machine-to-machine messages. (It's especially maddening, when these are often the only phone calls I get.)

The automated message gives a phone number with a phone tree that connects to Customer Service...that does not connect to telemarketing at all. They don't even know where the telemarketing department is, who's in charge of it, or how to contact them. Does anyone know where these people are, or how I can stop them? I thought every company doing business in the US had to maintain a "Do Not Solicit" list, and that they had to make reasonable efforts to stop advertising at one after a specific request and a moderate wait.
