that time again
Jun. 10th, 2004 11:13 pmI bought the chocolate chips on Sunday, when the local preschooler was here. She helped me with the shopping. And the counting of items to decide if we could go in the "12 items or less" line. And the carrying stuff home (she carried the chocolate chips.) We had a grand time.
After the cookies were in the oven, after a thoughtful discussion about the pleasures of the moment, long-term risk assessment, and other people worrying on one's behalf (we were talking about raw eggs making people sick, but she's almost 4 and just beginning to generalize), we put the chocolate chips in the cupboard. I expected them to be there this evening, when I wanted to stir a handful into my bowl of yogurt and strawberries. Nope.
The Tollhouse bag was full of thick chocolate syrup. It looks like it's time to start keeping chocolate in the refrigerator again.
