sorry, wrong number
Oct. 30th, 2004 09:57 am1. I was already planning to vote for the candidate you support. You're wasting your time.
2. I resent having my voice mail fill up with advertising.
3. This isn't person-to-person canvassing. With the autodialers and the standardized taped messages, it's advertising in a medium that does not seem to be fair game for advertising.
4. Using movie and tv celebrities doesn't help your cause. Not with me. Why should I respect these people or what they say?
5. I've given money to various liberal political organizations, and I used to think they were using the money to pay for print or tv advertising, or to print flyers and buttons and stuff for canvassing. Now I think they're taking my money and using it for the phone equivalent of spamming.
6. I recognize that this election is more important than my resentment, and I'm not going to refrain from voting out of spite. But there are activities I don't want to subsidize.
