why does it DO that?
May. 23rd, 2005 10:46 pmI know I'm not very good at multitasking. I can't do 17 things at once, as some of my friends can. When I try to maintain 2 IM conversations, write a letter in hotmail, shred junk mail, eat oatmeal, and draft a complicated LJ post, it all falls apart and I get syrup on the keyboard. (I figured this out far enough in advance to dispense with the oatmeal. Hah!) Unfortunately, one of my IM correspondents sent me a link, which I made the mistake of clicking. It did not open as a new window; it replaced the hotmail window, destroying what I had been working on.
The link was not worth it at all. I thought it was a blog about _Dracula_, commentary. It's just the text, republished piecewise, like a very slow staged reading.
