I have a hypersensitive nose. That's one of several reasons I'm giving up on milk -- I can't drink it fast enough. Sometimes I can't get it home from the store fast enough (and the store is only across the street.) How soon does soymilk start to spoil? I have a carton of soymilk I bought Wednesday night, and broke the vacuum seal Thursday morning. This afternoon, it smells wrong to me, despite the printing on the carton saying it's supposed to be good until Nov 20, or 7-10 days after opening.
I threw it out, and no assurances would have persuaded me to drink it. I'm wondering if this is typical of soymilk, or vanilla soymilk, or Silk Vanilla Soymilk, or if it's just a single weird occurance. Maybe a bad batch, or me be exceptionally hypersensitive this weekend because I'm not feeling well, or a refrigerator not being cold enough somewhere along the way. If it's going to spoil in 2 days, instead of 7, I need to buy it differently.
