dentistry's unknown debt to Truepenny
Feb. 7th, 2006 11:19 pmPressure at work is so intense that I've committed to 6 weeks of frantic work and reorganization. I know perfectly well that this pace is not sustainable for the long term. I don't know if it will be sustainable for 6 weeks...after a week and a half, I can't tell how I'm holding up.
I do not multi-task well. In order to do what needs to be done at work, I need to skimp on sleep, neglect correspondence, minimize laundry, and not waste so much time with food and walking. It also seemed like a good idea to cut my reading time to the irreducible minimum -- reading while commuting, and while cleaning my teeth. That's what led me to stand there with Melusine propped open on the sink while I flossed my teeth FOR THE LAST HALF HOUR!
