headbands

Some time ago, I bought a package of headbands, in my ongoing effort to keep the growing-out bangs out of my face and looking reasonably tidy. They're very soft and stretchy, so I thought they would not be a problem for my headaches. (I've tried wearing tight headbands of stiff fabric with a little elastic that's supposed to go at the back of the neck. Even when my migraines were a lot less bad, I could only wear them for an hour or so at a time.) Unfortunately, these headbands smell strongly of latex. Wearing one becomes uncomfortable for me in less than an hour...because of the smell so close to my nose, not because of pressure. Extensive airing did not help.

Is this a matter of badly made headbands that anybody would find objectionable, and I should throw them away? Or is it a matter of my hypersensitive nose, and I should give them away? They are 3 of them, in shades of brown, and about 1.5" wide, if any of you want them.
