A question that is bugging me

Do moths eat cotton or synthetic fibers? Or only animal fibers like wool and silk?

animal fibers only.

Thanks! That means less to worry about, with my current wardrobe. I haven't decided if it's safe to bring out the big fluffy down comforter. I'm really not accustomed to this body, that can sleep in a chilly room but not recognize a moth at arm's length.

if the comforter's outside is artificial or plant fiber, they can't get through it to eat the down.
