I regret that neither "the Internet entrepeneurs of Nigeria," nor their literary descendents could send a representative to accept the award last night. I guess the Igs couldn't afford their fees.
Scrolling further down to the award for Fluid Dynamics, I see the winners were unable to attend the ceremony, as the US denied them visas. Evidently, they are (both) Stephen Maturin, and there's someone in the government who doesn't want spies wandering around our Cambridge.
