question about nuns

I have some business to do with Catholic nursing homes and convents. I know they won't be doing business today, because it's Good Friday. Still, they are likely to have somebody THERE. (People live there all the time.) It would make my life easier to call today and make appointments for Monday or Tuesday. If it's likely to offend them, I can wait and call Monday morning. Any thoughts? I know almost nothing about these things.

When you call Monday, you can say that you didn't want to disturb them on the holiday, and they may well appreciate your sensitivity and remember it when they have further dealings with you. Remind me to recount to you sometime about having to explain to non-Jewish lawyers [more than once] that one did not schedule motions in the court section where one has to show up in person on Yom Kippur, particularly the second rescheduling of a consolidated matter in New York City. < grin or grimace >)
