A few days ago, Redbird and I were talking about the unseasonable warmth and sunshine predicted for this part of the world for today (in contrast to tomorrow, when it might sleet), and I said something silly about nice weather for Jo's birthday. Then I thought for a moment and said, "She'd probably prefer a good frost. It's Jo." I'm terribly sorry about the freezing rain. I really was not expecting it. I hope you can stay inside until the amazingly efficient people go down the sidewalks with the traction-enhancers.
May this be the start of a year of good books, good tea, time with good friends, and Montreal not being too hot for you.
