When I called you last week, and you said you did not have time to talk, that was perfectly reasonable. It was also perfectly reasonable for us to set up a time when we could talk about the many important things we need to talk about. As my schedule is reasonably open, "Wednesday morning," seemed sufficiently exact. I appreciate that you invited me to phone at 11, if I had not called you before then. I was awake and ready to answer the phone at 7:25, just in case you defined "morning" earlier than I prefer.
At 11, your office manager said you would call me back. She did not specify *when*. I gave her the phone number for my apartment, as the important things we need to discuss are not suitable for discussing on a bus. Nor even for discussing while walking down Mass Ave. My schedule is not infinitely open, and I need to leave at 1:00. Or at least 1:10. Which stretches the definition of "Wednesday morning" well beyond courtesy, but I still have not heard from you.
