Dec. 24th, 2003 02:15 pmAfter my last post to LJ, lamenting my problems finding Chanuka candles in what I thought of as the usual places (supermarkets and drugstores), I got a flood of helpful responses in various venues. Thank you, all of you. Left to my own devices, I would never have thought to look at Tags, which I think of as a hardware store.
Even better, less than half an hour after I posted my complaint, someone called my cell phone to say they hadn't lit yet at their house. (Most of the people I know are awfully relaxed about timing such things, as am I.) Would I like to come over? Once I was there for candlelighting, I had to stay to try out their new board game (Constructionary - a Pictionary variant involving Legos) and a little chat in their hot tub. I went home feeling warm, really warm.
