alternate lifestyle
Jun. 20th, 2004 09:02 pmThe light fixture in my bathroom holds 4 lightbulbs. 2 of them have been burned out for a long time, and the 3rd went last week. The dim light in the bathroom was starting to become inconvenient. Not because I need light for putting on makeup (I don't), or fixing my hair (I can do it just as well with my eyes shut, and usually do it outside the bathroom.) The problem was just that I need a certain amount of light to be able to read comfortably in the bathtub. My bathroom is now gloriously bright. I think I'll have a bath and finish _Ship of Destiny_.
(While I'm fixing a misspelling, ETA: The whole Liveship series works a lot better on rereading than it did the first time around, presumably because I have the perspective to stay connected when POV shifts to the sea serpents. The next book would NOT be _Xenocide_, even if I had it. [Speaking of "gloriously bright."] That's way too fraught at the moment. Sean Sullivan, or a Robert Charles Wilson reread.)
