The governor is ordering everyone who doesn't have an essential job to stay home today. With my job history, it's kind of scary to admit the work I do isn't essential. It sounds an awful lot like asking the company to fire me. (But we make toys. The work I was planning to do today might be essential to the making of really, really, cool toys. But it's not like I work for a hospital or something like that.) I'm not considering driving. My car is in the parking lot at work, where it will stay until at least February. If I take the bus to work, I wouldn't be adding to the traffic burden. I'd just be losing the potential for a day off to recover from Arisia and related activities. And there's no way to contact work to find out what expectations are, without actually going there. This is frustrating.
