travel notes
Aug. 14th, 2005 09:08 pmNote to my fellow passengers: Please do not apply nail polish on a Peter Pan bus between New York and Boston. Or any Peter Pan bus. Or any bus, really.
Note to self: After more than a month of shopping for sandals, it seemed that any new sandals would be better than my hopelessly worn-out sandals. This seems to have been mistaken. A long weekend in New York is not the best possible time to discover this.
Further note to self: Jim Butcher's new novel, _Furies of the Calderon_, might not be as bad as it looks (in the sense of Wagner's music not being as bad as it sounds), but I suspect reading it in close proximity to climactic ending scenes in both _Scorcery and Cecelia_ and _The Last Light of the Sun_ showed its flaws even more than usual.
