it's about time

We have been in daylight savings time for 2 weeks now. You'd think a person would be able to recognize that, and stop putting "EST" after every point on the schedule, but no such luck. You might even think "EST" was superfluous when we were scheduling within Middlesex County, thought that does not usually add to confusion.

me: I am available Tuesday at 4pm or Friday at 3pm. Do you mean Eastern Daylight Time? I'm looking forward to talking with you.

her: I will confirm your appointment for 4:00pm EST Tuesday.
