plans to go somewhere Else
Mar. 18th, 2008 01:35 pmA bunch of people frustrated with LJ are working on an alternative. "ElseJournal, where the conversations will be." Most of the people I know are better at the technical aspect of this sort of thing than I am, so I'm calling it to the attention of anybody who might want to help. And of course it can be structurally ideal for fostering community and conversation, but that only helps *me* if the people I want to have conversations with actually go there and talk. So I'm spreading the word.

(I also like the idea of using a Livejournal community for early-stage planning of alternatives. Whose tools are dismantling whose house, this time?)
